So, I stopped at my local Pier1 on my way home tonight intent on buying the octopus wine rack. Much to my dismay, I was told that someone had purchased it an hour before and there were none in stock. The associate checked in the system and there were none on order and other locations in my area either had one or none in stock as well. I would blame the goat for this fiasco, but Casemates doesn’t have one, yet.
@heartny Same here…my Pier1 had one yesterday, but it fell off of a high shelf and broke. They do not expect more. It was a summer 2017 item. The ones that arrived recently were probably found in a warehouse and shipped to stores to clear them out (unless they get re-released for summer 2018).
I met a fellow casemate on Thursday to split a box in the parking lot of a Fedex location. In the same plaza is a Pier1 store so I went in and took a walk around. I found the only octopus rack in stock, which was a little beat up, it looked like it had fallen and some of the aluminum spacer rods had popped loose. They gave me a 25% discount, now I’ve got a little repair work to do but I think I’ll fill it with bottles from my first 8 purchases on Casemates once it’s fixed. Thanks for the heads up @heartny
